Elevating Hospitality: Transforming Short-Term Rental Management

The goal was to develop a platform for Strive Hospitality, a company specializing in managing social media content for unique short-term rental properties. Leveraging high-quality imagery of the properties Strive represents, I wanted to create a design that not only showcased their offerings but also provided an intuitive user experience. I took on the task of designing Strive's logo and branding to establish a unique visual identity. As the project progressed, we identified the need for an additional section aimed at enhancing the sales process. This dedicated space now serves as an informative hub during sales calls, illustrating Strive's product offerings in a clear and engaging manner.

Single-page web design

I built the Strive website as a single-page layout, which included a case study, employee bios, services, portfolio, and a value proposition. I wanted to maintaining simplicity while consolidating a substantial amount of content into a streamlined and functional design. The initial phase involved identifying key website sections and establishing a hierarchical structure for the information. As the project progressed we decided to add a services page dedicated to sales outreach. This section showcases various packages and product offerings, providing a targeted and exclusive experience. This portion of the site is used for sales purposes only. Building outside of Webflow did call for custom code solutions. I implemented CSS, HTML, and JavaScript to help build several components, user interactions, and on-page linking to compliment the single-page layout.

mobile design

Made with mobile in mind

Statistics show that a significant percentage of website visits originate from mobile devices, highlighting the importance of responsive design. Understanding this trend, I ensured that Strive's website was optimized for all screen sizes. Using jQuery, I implemented responsive design techniques to overcome limitations and ensure a seamless experience across devices. This approach not only accommodates the diverse viewing habits of users but also reinforces the website's accessibility and usability. Whether potential clients are browsing on their desktop computers or smartphones, the website delivers a cohesive and visually appealing experience, showcasing the client's offerings effectively and driving engagement.

brand design

Strive's design  centered on simplicity and clarity. The color palette was  kept minimal, with shades of black and white providing a clean backdrop that allowed the content and imagery to take center stage. Font selection leaned towards ITC Avant Garde for its modern aesthetic, with multiple weights establishing hierarchy within headings and paragraphs. I designed the logo to be a heavier version of the ITC Avant Garde font with some subtle curvature adjustments. I incorporated a subtle upward arrow motif, to represent forward momentum, progress and growth. UI layout decisions followed a similar idea, emphasizing clean lines and intuitive navigation to support the user experience without unnecessary distractions.
